I personally don’t think either party has a real plan. We can’t stop being in debt until we become a producing country instead of a consumer credit economy. Our trade deficits with countries like China need to be changed somehow. If there is a Republican, or Democrat plan that I over looked please let me know.

I’ve got a student loan and I’ve been paying my credit card off with my line of credit….I just got out of school and I’m a creative aspiring self employed person, but I’m not making enough and spending too much? Anyone understand how to live in this city within your means?

Serious answers please. I had gotten a few credit cards so that I can have “credit”. But then I had to use it for emergency reasons and now I have maxed out my cards. I don’t have a lot of income and I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom!
Just to explain I was with my husband when I first got the credit cards and we have been seperated since Dec. 2006. So now there is less income in the home.

Not a refinance or home equity loan. I have credit card debt and want to buy a house. Do they have loans that will pay off your credit cards, but add the amount on to your home loan?

We have credit card bills, & medical bills are huge it’s driving us crazy. Every month is a hassle to make a payment because we have to decide which bill is going to get paid. We can’t pay them all at once by the due dates; we don’t get paid enough!! I’ve been thinking of taking out a Personal Loan but I’m scared it wouldn’t be a smart move. Any Advice?

i read that if you saved more than $800, or something like that, with debt negotiation, that it gets reported to the IRS and youre liable for paying taxes on it. is this true? if it is, whats the benefit, then, of doing the negotiation if youre going to have to pay 30%, or so, on taxes? i dont get it…
