In Ritchard Hatch’s case, he was sent to prison for 51 months for not paying his taxes on his 1million dollars he won on the Survivor Reality Show. Does his debt to the IRS get wiped off because he has served the 51 months of his sentence? If not, can he get sent back to prison for failing to pay the initial amount that he as previously sent to prison for?

1 year ago I took out chapter 7 bankruptcy. The creditor never contested the debt and it was settled in the chapter 7. Now he is trying to get my mom to pay him and sent her a letter in the mail saying he would sue in 10 days if the debt is not paid. Can he do this?

If my mom does pay is that a violation of federal law and could my bankruptcy case be opened back up in federal court?

My In-Laws are planning to move back to the Philippines next year and walk away from their house, cars and credit card debt. However their “plan” is to live off their retirement that they will be getting from Social Security and what they acquired while working for the Post Office.

Can they get away with that? Im not a lawyer but this doesn’t sound right to me. They seem to think it wont be an issue and they checks will continue to come.

My car was towed by the police after I was convicted of a DWI but was NOT charged with one. I couldn’t pay to get it out so after a period of time they sold it! All my money went towards the Lawyer and now i have Debt with out a car. So how do I settle with the Bank?
Ok I told the Bank when they towed the car. That I couldn’t get it out. They told me that they couldn’t do any thing about it. If they repossessed it then why would I still have to pay if they got their car back. Which I know that they didn’t repo it cause they told me they sold it in a auction.
