get out of debt
Wonderer asked:

I sent a “Debt Validation Letter” to a collection company who out of the blue says I owe $117 for some record club. They failed to respond to the Debt Validation letter, but their collections status notice remains on my credit report. What action can I take if they will not vailidate the debt, to get it off my credit report?
