I’ve heard that Obama passed something that helps people with more than 10k in credit card debt get out of debt a bit. I received a postcard in the mail titled “Balance Settlement Notification”. Is this fake? Is the Obama thing real? Where can I find info on this? I am certainly more than 10k in credit card debt. Classic case of letting the credit cards get away from me and then before I knew it, I was tons in debt and forced to use credit cards to pay bill which sunk me deeper. Please Help!!!

Nope - this is a marketing tactic. Obama did help push through legislation some new bank regulations in terms of credit cards and their policies but this does not have any relation with debt settlement.
